Nongriat, is a small village in a valley of the Khasi mountains.The villagers prefer to live in a secluded area and have been living there for years and years.The people of the village hail from the Khasi tribe who are spread all across the Meghalayan region, their village is also the host of the double decker root bridge that has now become popular and attracts a lot of tourists during the weekends.
