Kunbee tribe is a women led tribe in the southern parts of Goa, which I had the pleasure of documenting in early 2014.
Pedro Fernandis is the matriarch of the family and was 69 years old at the time these images were created. She looks after a family of 12. The Kunbees have been in Goa for over 200 years now and are being pushed further and further away with the cities coming up, even with that they have managed to lead a peaceful and secluded lifestyle.
All the ladies of this house are ladyfinger farmers.
